On January 14, Ambassador Wang Xuefeng paid a visit to Speaker of the Danish Parliament Mr. Søren Gade. They exchanged views on China-Denmark relations and interactions between their legislative bodies.

Ambassador Wang pointed out that China-Denmark relations are growing with a positive momentum. China highly appreciates Denmark’s longstanding commitment to the one-China principle and is ready to take the 75th anniversary of the China-Denmark diplomatic relations as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation and further implement the Green Joint Work Programme. Exchanges between legislative bodies are an important part of China-Denmark relations. The National People’s Congress of China is ready to strengthen friendly exchanges with the Danish Parliament to further enhance mutual understanding and trust and bring bilateral relations forward.

Speaker Søren Gade said that Denmark attaches great importance to its relations with China and stays committed to the one-China policy. Denmark will work with China to jointly celebrate the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations and further deepen exchanges and cooperation on bilateral and multilateral dimensions between their legislative bodies and in economy and trade, green development and climate.
