On May 19, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Denmark jointly held the "China-Denmark Green Innovation Day" simultaneously in Copenhagen and Beijing. Minister of Science and Technology of China, Dr. Yin Hejun, Minister of Higher Education and Science of Denmark, Ms. Christina Egelund, Chinese Ambassador, Mr. Wang Xuefeng attended and addressed the opening ceremony. More than 500 representatives from relevant government, industry and academia of the two countries participated in the event.
In his remarks, Ambassador Wang stated that, scientific and technological innovation cooperation is one of the most important component of China-Denmark relations, with both countries serving as important partners to each other. Since the signing of the “China-Denmark Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement” in 1985, the two countries have carried out close cooperation in science and technology and achieved fruitful outcomes. The Chinese government will fully implement President Xi’s important directives on building a community with a shared future for mankind, promoting openness and cooperation in science and technology, fulfilling the due responsibilities of China as a major country, working together with all countries, including Denmark, to further deepen scientific and technological international collaboration, to ensure that science and technology better benefit humanity.
