On January 9, 1950, Denmark broke through the dark clouds of the Cold War and became one of the first Western countries to recognize the People’s Republic of China, opening a new chapter in the history of China-Denmark relations.
Over the past 75 years, China and Denmark have witnessed remarkable milestones in our bilateral relationship and cooperation. Recent years have seen frequent high-level interactions between our two countries, fruitful outcomes in pragmatic cooperation across various fields, vibrant and diverse people-to-people exchanges, growing friendship between our two peoples, and continued progress in the bilateral ties.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of our diplomatic relations for which both sides will hold a series of celebrations. At this new historical starting point, China is ready to work with Denmark to earnestly act on the consensus between our leaders, further implement the Green Joint Work Programme, address global challenges, and work together for a community with a shared future for mankind. We are confident that, with the joint efforts of our two peoples, we will usher in an even brighter future for the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Denmark.
