On 14 March, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi sent a message to Mr. Jeppe Kofod, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark, conveying his sympathy to those in Denmark who have unfortunately contracted COVID-19 and their families.

Wang Yi said in his message that China appreciates the strong support from the Danish government and Danish enterprises in China to Chinese people’s battle against COVID-19. The coronavirus is the common enemy of mankind that needs to be dealt with through joint efforts of the international community. Dedicated as ever to the building of a common community of shared future for mankind, China stands ready to make contribution to the global public health security while safeguarding the health and safety of the Chinese people. China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Denmark in epidemic control and medical treatment, so as to share experience and support each other.

Finally, Wang Yi expressed his confidence that with concerted efforts in the world, the coronavirus epidemic will be defeated eventually.
