On January 9, Ambassador Deng Ying attended the 2018 New Year Reception for the Diplomatic Corps held by the Danish Parliament. Distinguished figures including H.E. Madam Speaker Pia Kjærsgaard, members of The Presidium of the Danish Parliament, representatives from Foreign Policy Committee and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament, Permanent Secretary of Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs as well as more than a hundred envoys participated. Madam Kjærsgaard delivered a speech and conveyed her New Year greetings to all the guests, noting that the Danish Parliament is willing to main close communication with the Diplomatic Corps and enhance cooperation with legislatures of other countries.
On behalf of all the envoys, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Cote d’Ivoire’s Ambassador to Denmark, H.E. Ms. Mina Marie Balde Laurent conveyed best wishes to H.E. Madam Speaker Kjærsgaard and all the MPs, expressing that the Diplomatic Corps in Denmark is willing to deepen the cooperation with the Danish Parliament in the New Year.
