Mr. Mayor Søren Kjærsgård,Mr. Vestegård, Mr. Xu Kunzhen

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good morning! I am very glad to attend the opening ceremony of ‘Chinese Cultural Festival in Holbaek’.

Holbaek is a beautiful city located by the seaside, and it has fruitful cooperation and exchanges with China in various fields. People here are very friendly and have a deep interest and passion towards Chinese culture. This year, Holbaek and Quanzhou become sister cities, which is a case in point to show the intimate relation between two sides.

Friendly China-Denmark relations can be traced back into ancient times. In recent years, exchanges and collaborations have been expanded and deepened in various fields, among which, cultural interactions become the new highlight of bilateral partnership. Cultural exchange is the best way for two peoples getting to know each other and thereby becoming even closer. We appreciate the inclusive attitude of Holbaek municipal government and people towards Chinese Culture who have been working on promoting cultural communications between China and Denmark. I am expecting more bilateral cooperation in the future.

Finally I would like to give special thanks to Holbaek Municipal government, the Panda group and the organization committee of this festival for all your efforts and hard work and to extend my warmest welcome to Chinese delegation that has travelled all the way for this event.

Wish the ‘Chinese Cultural Festival’ a great success!

Thank you!
