2020-08-25 21:08

To ensure the safety of international travel and reduce the risk of cross-border spread of COVID-19, in accordance with the joint announcement issued in a bulletin on 20 July 2020 by the Civil Aviation Administration, the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China,from1 September 2020, China-bound passengers are required to obtain COVID-19 negative certificates within 3 days (72 hours) before boarding their flights. Specific requirements are as follows:

Boarding requirements for foreign citizens

I. Direct flights from Denmark

Take nucleic acid test for COVID-19 at a designated testing institution (see below) within 3 days (72 hours) before boarding. Passenger with a standard-format COVID-19 negative certificate issued by the above-mentioned institutions can board the plane without a certified Health Declaration Form from the Chinese Embassy in Denmark.

II. China-bound flights from Denmark via a third country or region

Take nucleic acid test for COVID-19 at a designated testing institution within 3 days (72 hours) before boarding. Please send the standard-format COVID-19 negative certificate by email to denmarkcenter@visaforchina.org. The Chinese Embassy in Denmark will issue a stamped Health Declaration Form with a validity period (see Appendix) for airlines to check. Please make sure to board the plane within the validity period and carry the original copy of the COVID-19 negative certificate for a possible spot check by the airlines.

III. China-bound flights via Denmark

Take nucleic acid test for COVID-19 at the departure country within 3 days (72 hours) before boarding and apply for a certified Health Declaration Form at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate there (check the official website of the relevant Chinese Embassy or Consulate for specific requirements). Boarding a transfer flight in Denmark requires a valid certified Health Declaration Form. Please carry the original copy of the COVID-19 negative certificate for a possible spot check by the airlines.

There is no testing institution in the transfer area at Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport. Transit passengers must obtain their certified Health Declaration Forms before departure and depart from Denmark within the validity period.

Important reminders

I. China-bound passengers departing from Denmark are advised to prepare the needed documents carefully in accordance with this Notice before departure. China-bound transit passengers who have booked their flights on or after 1 September but do not have enough time to obtain the required documents before departure need to adjust their schedules.

II. The above-mentioned testing institutions are designated by the Danish government and recognized by the Chinese Embassy in Denmark. A list of these institutions and the standard format of testing results have been provided to the airlines. The testing results issued by them in standard format will facilitate passengers' boarding. To avoid delay of your travel, please do not go testing at those institutions not on the list.

III. Since China-bound passengers departing from Denmark and transferring via a third country or region need to obtain certified Health Declaration Forms, they are advised to submit their testing results to the Chinese Embassy in Denmark for certification as early as possible to avoid delay. If the flight departs on a public holiday, weekend or Monday, please submit the testing result before 15:00 on the last working day before departure. In an urgent situation, please contact the Embassy.

IV. Passengers who provide false certificates or information will bear corresponding legal responsibilities.
