In an effort to strengthen awareness and education of anti-telecom fraud among Chinese students in Denmark, the Chinese Embassy in Denmark, in collaboration with the Chinese Students and Scholars Association Copenhagen, held an anti-telecom fraud awareness event on April 6. More than 140 Chinese students from local universities participated both online and offline. Counselor He Fuxiang attended the event and delivered remarks.
Counselor He emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of Chinese students studying overseas. He noted that the Chinese Embassy in Denmark consistently upholds President Xi Jinping’s diplomatic philosophy of “diplomacy for the people” and attaches great importance to the safety of Chinese students overseas, including in Denmark. As telecom fraud tactics continue to evolve and more students fall victim to scams, he urged the Chinese students in Denmark to remain vigilant, enhance their awareness of safety, and improve their abilities to identify and avoid being scammed. The Embassy, he added, will continue to strengthen its "Safe Study Abroad" initiative and provide support and assistance to students in Denmark to the best of its ability.
The event featured case studies, informative presentations, and interactive Q&A sessions to help students recognize common types of telecom fraudand learn practical countermeasures. The program significantly improved the abilities of Chinese students in Denmark to identify and guard against telecom scams.
