On 13 January, Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Mr. Wang Xuefeng  attended a roundtable meeting hosted by KPMG, and had in-depth discussions with senior executives from Danish shipping companies, including Maersk Tankers, DS Norden, Clipper Group and Lauritzen Bulkers on strengthening China–Denmark cooperation in the shipping sector.

Ambassador Wang noted that both China and Denmark are major global shipping nations. China is the largest single market for Danish shipping industry, while Danish shipping companies have long purchased a large number of vessels from China. China–Denmark cooperation in the shipping sector enjoys a solid foundation, covers broad areas and has great potentials. This year marks the first year of the implementation of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, which brings new opportunities and broader prospects for China–Denmark cooperation in the shipping sector. It is hoped that Danish shipping companies will remain confident in cooperation with China, further leverage their technological strengths in green and low-carbon development, and work together to promote bilateral cooperation for a mutually beneficial and win-win result.
