On 17 December, Chinese Ambassador to Denmark, Mr. Wang Xuefeng, attended the “Sense China” dialogue hosted by the Confederation of Danish Industry and delivered a keynote speech.
Ambassador Wang noted that China–Denmark relations are developing steadily, with new highlights in bilateral trade and investment cooperation. China’s economy has maintained a momentum of stable and positive growth, demonstrating strong resilience and vitality. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has adopted the recommendations on formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan, sending a strong signal to the international community of China’s commitment to further promoting high-standard opening-up and creating horizons for mutually beneficial cooperation. This will create broad opportunities for China and Denmark to deepen cooperation in areas including green development, the services sector, and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Over the past five decades since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union, exchanges and cooperation between the two sides have continued to deepen and yielded fruitful results. Both sides should actively implement the three proposals on the future development of China–EU relations put forward by President Xi Jinping in July, properly view and handle issues related to competition and cooperation as well as trade balance, strengthen communication and deepen cooperation, and firmly hold the right direction of China–EU relations, thereby fostering a more open, transparent and predictable environment for bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
