Ambassador Wang Xuefeng Hosts a Media Briefing
2025-06-18 18:22

On June 10, Ambassador Wang Xuefeng hosted a media briefing, elaborating on China's principled position on UNGA Resolution 2758 and the Taiwan question. Representatives from Danish mainstream media including Berlingske, Politiken, Børsen, Arbejderen, and the Copenhagen Post, as well as journalists from Reuters and Shanghai Media Group, attended the briefing.

Ambassador Wang gave a systematic review of the historical context of the Taiwan question and explained the essence of UNGA Resolution 2758. He pointed out that UNGA Resolution 2758 must not be challenged, and the one-China principle is unshakable. Any attempt to distort and challenge UNGA Resolution 2758 constitutes not only a challenge to China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also an affront to the authority of the U.N. as well as the post-war international order. Such attempts are doomed to fail. The Chinese side appreciates Denmark's reiteration of its commitment to the one-China policy and stands ready to work with the Danish side, on the basis of respect for each other's core interests, to jointly promote steady and sustained growth of the China-Denmark comprehensive strategic partnership, and deliver more benefits to the two peoples.

Ambassador Wang also took questions from the journalists.
