The allegations against China’s United Front work are groundless and distorted from truth, which only exposes certain individuals’ ignorance and bias. The CPC-led United Front endeavors to bring together various political parties and people from all walks of life, ethnic groups and organizations. Simply put, it aims to promote cooperation between the CPC and people who are not members of it. When it comes to exchanges with foreign countries, the CPC and the Chinese government always believe that different civilizations should respect and learn from each other with an open mind and people from different countries should jointly strive for harmonious coexistence, win-win cooperation and peaceful development. By uniting overseas Chinese nationals who serve as a bridge linking China with the rest of the world, the Chinese side aims to promote greater people-to-people exchanges and friendship. Its work is transparent, above-board and beyond reproach. PET's smearing and slandering of China is not new, but a lie is still a lie even if it’s told a thousand times. Such smear campaign is self-defeating as it would only hurt one’s own credibility. We urge the relevant parties to abandon Cold War mentality, stop making groundless attacks against China, and do more for a healthy China-Denmark relationship. We also expect more objectivity, sense of responsibility and professionalism from relevant Danish media concerning reports on China.
